\(K^{-}\) nuclear quasi-bound states in a chirally motivated coupled-channel approach

Abstract

K − nuclear optical potentials are constructed from in-medium \({\bar K}N\) scattering amplitudes within a chirally motivated coupled-channel model. The strong energy and density dependence of the scattering amplitudes at and below threshold leads to K − potential depths −Re\(V_{K^-}(\rho_0) \approx 80 -100\) MeV. Self consistent calculations of K − nuclear quasi-bound states are discussed.
