Abstract
Development politics is an independent pillar of the Global Deal (see Part VI) and at the same time has to be integrated into climate politics. The most important aspect of both fields is the enhancement of the capabilities of people, above all of the poor, in order to support their life chances, their initiatives, their self-reliance and their ability to adjust. This chapter describes the ethical implications important in the evolution of both development and climate policy and how the triangle of justice (see Chap. 7) is involved.
