Abstract
Product specification as well as product design are innovative tasks and depend on designer creativity. They are responsible for the success of the company’s products, therefore they are entitled to perform this task as they find fit.
A variety of product specification methods are used by different designers and for different purposes. Some of these methods are presented here as representative of the nature of the task. Individual designers may use these examples in their own revised versions.
