Abstract
“All-embracing Manufacturing Technology” is a system that introduces flexibility and agility to production planning. Properly implemented, it automatically dissolves constraints, bottlenecks, and disruptions while maintaining simplicity of procedures. In this setting, no decision is finalized ahead of its time for execution in the plan. Among other features, the system considers the present state of a company’s total inventory of orders and up-to–the-minute conditions on the shop floor. It considers technology to be the dominant tool of manufacturing planning. It is a computer-driven system that strives to emulate the behavior of a thinking human being.
