Abstract

Localization information is necessary and has become more and more important with the tremendous applications in the wireless sensor network. DV-Hop is a kind of range-free localization algorithms. Since the sensor nodes position is determined by hop-size estimation. Reducing the estimated hop-size error can improve sensor nodes position accuracy. As a result, we provide a novel solution for locating the sensor nodes using weighted value according to distance influence, so that we will get the estimated position will be much closer to its real position without additional hardware support in this paper. Simulation results demonstrate that the performance of the proposed algorithm is better than that of the DV-Hop algorithm.
