The optimal control approach for SISO systems has already been introduced in chapter 9. In this chapter, we extend it to Multi-Input Multi-Output (MIMO) systems. The general results are stated without demonstration and the discussion is focused on the aspects which are important for the control of lightly damped flexible structures.
