Abstract

Detection of explosive substances (ES) has recently become a central issue due to the increase of the number and variety of terrorist acts committed in many regions and countries all over the world including Russia. Especially dangerous is use of ES during hijacking attempts and in crowded public places. To successfully fight against these crimes, the corresponding agencies should be equipped with effective technical means for remote detection of masked ES.
