Abstract

Within the school of Antonio Banfi, the scholar who developed Husserl’s thought with the greatest depth and originality was Enzo Paci (1911–1976). The spread of phenomenology in Italy in the postwar period took place particularly in the wake of his scientific, didactic and editorial work. He taught at the Universitá degli Studi of Milan, where he educated some of the philosophers who would later engage in phenomenological research and promoted, particularly through the publishing house Il Saggiatore and by directing the philosophical journal Aut Aut, the translation of and general acquaintance with many texts by Husserl and other phenomenological authors.
