Universal Curves Criteria

Abstract

Affinization criterion for turbulent regimes was first obtained empirically. It was validated by analyzing a two-phase flow as a statistical system. The analysis of physical aspects of the process has allowed us to define new criteria for obtaining universal separation curves in transient and laminar flow regimes. It is shown that the entire range of flows can be covered by two parameters for obtaining universal curves. It has turned out that their ratio corresponds to the Reynolds criterion. Examples of practical application of these parameters are presented.
