Abstract

In this chapter we will discuss the current knowledge and pitfalls on the use of diffusion weighted imaging (DWI)and diffusion tensor imaging (DTI) in brain tissue characterization, brain tumor grading presurgical planning and the use of these imaging techniques in the treatment follow-up of brain tumors.
