Samenvatting

In IGT-K is een intensieve samenwerking met kalme, emotioneel beschikbare en afgestemde ouders noodzakelijk. In dit hoofdstuk wordt beschreven op welke wijze een hoge mate van ouderlijke stress, eigen traumatische ervaringen en verminderd mentaliserend vermogen het integratief opvoeden kunnen belemmeren. Vervolgens worden mogelijkheden beschreven hoe deze belemmeringen aangepakt kunnen worden met behulp van kortdurende focale EMDR voor de ouder. De EMDR voor de ouder wordt geconceptualiseerd middels de Nederlandse EMDR-zoekstrategieën toegespitst op de ouderrol.
