Samenvatting
In deel iii van dit boek staat het belevingsperspectief centraal. Behandeling en begeleiding vanuit het belevingsgerichte perspectief, ook wel het psychosociale perspectief genoemd, richt zich op het bijstaan van mensen met dementie en hun omgeving bij het omgaan met de gevolgen van dementie met als uiteindelijk doel behoud van hun kwaliteit van leven en voorkoming c.q. behandeling van ontregelingen van het dagelijks leven. Belangrijke vragen daarbij zijn: Hoe beleven mensen hun dementie? Hoe gaan zij ermee om? Welke psychologische en sociale factoren zijn hierop van invloed?
