Samenvatting

Revalidatie van lichamelijk gehandicapten omvat meer dan behandeling alleen. Behandeling als curatieve handeling beoogt in de eerste plaats anatomischfysiologisch herstel. Revalidatie is het deel van de geneeskunde dat primair gericht is op behandeling van de patiënt met restinvaliditeit en op zijn functioneren in de maatschappij.
