Samenvatting
Bij patiënten bij wie de larynx is verwijderd, meestal wegens een maligne aandoening, is niet alleen de stembron verwijderd maar is ook de luchtstroom naar het aanzetstuk, waar de articulaties totstandkomen, weggevallen. De luchtpijp eindigt in een tracheostoma in de hals.
