Samenvatting

Kurt (51) is een alleenstaande man die nu ongeveer twee jaar werkloos is. Een tiental jaar geleden is hij, naar aanleiding van financiële problemen, begonnen met gokken op bingotoestellen - gokautomaten - in cafés. Begin 2009 meldt hij zich voor het eerst in ons Centrum Geestelijke Gezondheidszorg (CGG). Na enkele gesprekken haakt hij echter af in de therapie. Eind 2010 contacteert hij ons opnieuw en begint hij aan een tweede (individuele) ambulante begeleiding. Deze is nog steeds gaande. Op het moment van de aanmelding leeft hij erg geïsoleerd. Schulden zijn er niet (meer), maar het gebeurt regelmatig dat hij een groot deel van zijn uitkering vergokt. Dit geeft hem weinig financiële ruimte om andere vrijetijdsbesteding te zoeken. Er is ook sprake van comorbiditeit, met name depressieve klachten. De therapie van Kurt valt in verschillende fasen onder te delen, zoals hierna wordt beschreven.
