Introductie
De mountainbiker uit deze casus had vaak nekpijn. Tijdens een fietsvakantie in de bergen kreeg hij last van tintelingen en krachtverlies in de handen. Hij was arts van beroep en dacht direct dat er sprake was van een cervicobrachialgie. Het probleem bevond zich echter op een heel andere plaats en komt veel voor onder mountainbikers en wielrenners.
Deze casus is gebaseerd op een beschrijving van Capitani D, Beer S. Handlebar palsy − a compression syndrome of the deep terminal (motor) branch of the ulnar nerve in biking. J Neurol. 2002 Oct;249(10):1441-5.
