Abstract

In dit hoofdstuk wordt ingegaan op diverse frequent en minder frequent voorkomende dunne-darmaandoeningen, waarbij aandacht besteed wordt aan de prevalentie, pathologie, etiologie, klinische verschijnselen en diagnostiek. Verder wordt er een korte beschrijving gegeven van de behandeling en de dieetbehandeling. De volgende aandoeningen komen aan de orde: diarree, acute enteritis, lactose-intolerantie, coeliakie, dermatitis herpetiformis, de ziekte van Crohn, het short bowel syndrome, het ulcus duodenum en enkele overige aandoeningen van de dunne darm.Waar mogelijk wordt er verwezen naar andere hoofdstukken voor extra informatie.
