Socialisatieproblemen

Het hoofdstuk wordt ingeleid met een kort exposé over de normale ontwikkeling bij kinderen met betrekking tot vroege socialisatieprocessen, met name over de voeding- en slaapgewoonten en het proces van zindelijk worden. Vervolgens wordt de ontwikkeling van de drie basale functiedomeinen naar mogelijke abnormale uitingsvormen voor elk terrein afzonderlijk uitgewerkt. We bezien ze als de eerste opvoedingsproblemen waarvoor ouders en verzorgers van het jonge kind geplaatst worden. Behalve de risico- en protectieve factoren wordt eveneens ruim aandacht besteed aan causaliteit, waarin zowel biologische als psychosociale factoren aan bod zullen komen. Het transactionele model vormt het primaire uitgangspunt om de socialisatieproblemen te kunnen beschrijven en toe te lichten. Hoewel de psychiatrische classificatie niet volledig buiten deze context kan worden gehouden, zal de nadruk liggen op een denken en analyseren vanuit een gradueel ontwikkelingsverloop van normaal naar een (klinisch gezien) deviante ontwikkeling. Daarbij wordt zowel op de kwalitatieve als kwantitatieve aspecten van assessment en interventie van deze problemen ingegaan. Als laatste wordt summier ingegaan op preventie- en toekomstperspectieven betreffende de curatieve beïnvloeding van socialisatieproblemen bij jonge kinderen, in interactie met hun directe omgeving.

Het enige boekje, specifiek voor ouders met kinderen met encopresis, is ons boekje “Problemen rond zindelijkheid overdag” (Bosch, 2009). Dit is te downloaden op de website van Boom.
