  • De standaardprocedure is dat een conceptrichtlijn via een commentaarronde aan zorgprofessionals, zorggebruikers en andere stakeholders wordt voorgelegd. Het doel hiervan is fouten of onvolkomenheden te traceren, aanvullingen of nieuwe inzichten te vernemen, praktijkvariatie en praktische problemen te verkennen en draagvlak te creëren.

  • Na de commentaarronde kan de conceptrichtlijn op beperkte schaal in de praktijk worden uitgetest. Hoewel de definitieve richtlijn hierdoor langer op zich laat wachten, heeft deze werkwijze als voordeel dat de implementatiekans van de richtlijn substantieel kan toenemen.
