Abstract

Tandenpoetsen en het uitvoeren van andere preventieve maatregelen vormt bij gehandicapte kinderen vaak een groot probleem. Bovendien bestaat vooral bij thuisverblijvende gehandicapten dikwijls een grote behandelachterstand. Een en ander heeft tot gevolg dat mede hierdoor de aard, de verbreiding en de ernst van de mondaandoeningen vaak anders en groter is dan bij niet-gehandicapte leeftijdgenoten.
