Samenvatting
Een loopoor is de meest voorkomende complicatie van trommelvliesbuisjes. Bij 36-50% van de patiënten treden bij aanwezigheid van buisjes één of meer episoden van otorroe op (1, 2). Dit duidt niet altijd op het bestaan van otitis media. Direct na het plaatsen van buisjes kan nog enig vocht uit het middenoor lekken. Een loopoor dat later ontstaat is meestal een uiting van otitis media bij een bovenste luchtweginfectie, en soms het gevolg van contaminatie vanuit de gehoorgang.
