Zusammenfassung

De NHG-Standaard Traumatische knieproblemen geeft richtlijnen voor de diagnostiek en behandeling van knieproblemen die het gevolg zijn van een trauma. Deze standaard vormt samen met twee andere standaarden een drieluik over knieproblemen in de huisartsenpraktijk (zie tabel 1). Knieproblemen die niet het gevolg zijn van een trauma worden besproken in de NHG-Standaard Niet-traumatische knieproblemen bij kinderen en adolescenten en de NHG-Standaard Niet-traumatische knieproblemen bij volwassenen. In deze standaard worden de volgende aandoeningen besproken: contusie en distorsie, kruis- en collateralebandletsel, meniscusletsel en patellaluxatie. Tevens komt een kniefractuur aan de orde en wordt besproken in welke gevallen een ro¨ntgenfoto van de knie moet worden overwogen. Kraakbeenletsels, botkneuzingen, posterolateraleknieletsels en patellapeesrupturen blijven buiten beschouwing omdat deze vrijwel uitsluitend in de tweede lijn worden gediagnosticeerd en een beperkte relevantie voor het beleid van de huisarts hebben of zeldzaam zijn.
