Samenvatting
De afgelopen twintig jaar heeft TEE zich een belangrijke plaats verworven in de peri-operatieve zorg. Hoewel TEE over het algemeen veilig is, kan manipulatie van de scoop larynx, farynx, gebit en oesophagus beschadigen; ook kan TEE respiratoir en hemodynamisch belastend zijn.
