Samenvatting
Reizen naar een andere omgeving en een ander klimaat kan een aantal kleine ongemakken met zich meebrengen, die soms voor onnodig veel hinder zorgen. Snel en goed medisch advies is niet altijd voorhanden. Reden te meer om patiënten van tevoren goed te informeren over veelvoorkomende reisongemakken en de wijze waarop die met simpele maatregelen vermeden of aangepakt kunnen worden. Bijkomende aspecten van een aantal van de hier besproken onderwerpen komen later ook nog in andere hoofdstukken aan bod.
