Samenvatting
Van laboratoriumonderzoek wordt meestal veel verwacht in de importpathologie. Al te vaak wordt een positief resultaat als een absolute waarheid gezien en, vaker nog, een negatief resultaat als een absolute uitsluiting van een hypothese. Dikwijls wordt een lange lijst laboratoriumtests aangevraagd, in de hoop op die manier niets mis te lopen.
