Samenvatting

Gedurende endoscopische chirurgie wordt een verscheidenheid aan instrumentarium gebruikt. Bij dergelijke ingrepen hebben ziekenhuizen de keuze uit disposable en reusable instrumenten. Reusables zijn hergebruikbaar (Multi Patient Use) en vergen daarom een reinigings- en sterilisatiecyclus, terwijl disposables bedoeld zijn voor eenmalig gebruik en dus na gebruik verwijderd worden (Single Patient Use). De uitkomst van de keuze tussen disposables en reusables kan invloed hebben op de financiering en het verloop van de operatieve procedures.
