Tuberculose is een bacteriële ontsteking, meestal (80%) gelo-kaliseerd in de longen. Men spreekt van primaire tuberculose (primaire haard, primair complex, hiluskliertuberculose) kort na het tijdstip waarop specifieke immuniteit optreedt (zich uitend in een mantouxomslag).
