Per indicare un protocollo di acquisizione in risonanza magnetica è utilizzato il termine sequenza. Il termine sta a indicare che l’azione dei diversi campi magnetici utilizzati, in particolare gli impulsi a radiofrequenza e dei gradienti, deve avvenire “in sequenza”, con tempi e durate specifiche per il tipo di contrasto che si desidera ottenere.
