La trasfusione di componenti del sangue costituisce un presidio terapeutico insostituibile, spesso salvavita, in molte condizioni patologiche, sia in ambito medico che in ambito chirurgico. La terapia trasfusionale, principalmente praticata in pazienti critici o affetti da malattie onco-ematologiche, deve essere efficace, sicura e garantita in modo qualitativamente efficiente.
