Abstract
The radiologic investigation of the axis vertebra is a demanding one and needs particular attention. The involved anatomic elements should evaluate with conventional X-ray using specific views and in more details with computed tomography and magnetic resonance imaging. We describe the techniques and normal findings of the axis vertebra by using these methods.
