Un dispositivo digitale ben difficilmente sará basato soltanto su reti combinatorie. Infatti, in una situazione reale diventa importante disporre di dispositive in grado di memorizzare dati, generare sequenze e “rispondere” alle diverse condizioni che si possono verificare al variare del tempo.
