Abstract
The later capsule has several ligamentous and tendon structures divisible in anterior stabilizers and posterior ones. In the anterior side, we find the iliotibial tract (see lemma) and the superior and inferior retinacula with the vastus lateralis muscle. The posterior-lateral side was considered as distinct functional tendon-ligamentous unit, known as “arcuate ligament complex” (see lemma).

Lateral Knee Capsule
The later capsule has several ligamentous and tendon structures divisible in anterior stabilizers and posterior ones. In the anterior side, we find the iliotibial tract (see lemma) and the superior and inferior retinacula with the vastus lateralis muscle. The posterior-lateral side was considered as distinct functional tendon-ligamentous unit, known as “arcuate ligament complex” (see lemma).
