Abstract

In the last decades, the role of magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) in the evaluation of perianal disease has been investigated and its accuracy in the diagnosis of anal fistulas is now well established, especially in patients with Crohn’s disease (CD). Today, MRI is considered the gold standard for the imaging of anal fistulas [1,2].
