La costellazione estiva della Freccia si trova a sud della Volpetta e a nord dell’Aquila. Piccola, ma di forma caratteristica, è abbastanza facile da riconoscere. Le stelle più brillanti sono la gamma (3,5), che ha un bel colore arancio, la delta (3,8), la alfa e la beta (entrambe di magnitudine 4,4).
