Abstract

La riabilitazione cardiologica è un processo multidisciplinare che ha lo scopo di ottenere non solo il miglior recupero possibile dello stato di salute di un paziente cardiopatico dopo un evento acuto, ma anche una modificazione della storia naturale della malattia, attraverso la correzione dei fattori di rischio e l’ottimizzazione del percorso terapeutico. Una parte importante di tale processo è rappresentata dall’esercizio fisico che deve essere prescritto e svolto in maniera congrua sotto la guida di personale adeguatamente preparato. Inoltre il programma riabilitativo deve essere personalizzato rispetto alle condizioni cliniche del paziente e adattato ai suoi interessi e motivazioni, al fine di ottenere la migliore compliance possibile.
