Abstract
Heart disease is a major cause of mortality and morbidity in the western world. Methods to evaluate cardiac function are valuable for diagnosis and management of heart disease. However, conventional cardiac function evaluation methods have many limitations. Tagged magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) provides a new imaging method that has the potential to significantly improve our ability to evaluate cardiac function.
