Abstract

The so-called idiopathic femoral head necrosis (IFHN) is still one of the major challenges for the orthopedic surgeon. Although the etiology is complex, varied, and obscure, the pathology is well defined. There have been a number of reports of the possible pathogenesis and the various surgical techniques for treatment.
