Non occorre soffermarci sulla definizione, sull’incidenza e sul trattamento conservativo. Non lo faremo neppure, salvo poche eccezioni, per le prossime patologie, daremo per scontato che lo si sappia e lasceremo così maggior spazio per il tema specifico del libro ovvero come prevenire e curare le complicanze relative alla terapia chirurgica. Invece va detto qualcosa sulla patogenesi.
