Abstract

The interstitial lung diseases (ILDs) are an important and challenging group of pulmonary disorders. The term ILD encompasses a range of disorders categorized by four broad groupings: granulomatous ILD (e.g., sarcoidosis), ILDs of known cause (e.g., drug-induced, connective-tissue-disease-related), idiopathic interstitial pneumonias, and a miscellaneous group [1, 2].
