In certi casi DPP procede con grande velocità, anche con insiemi K di clausole aventi migliaia di variabili, mentre altre procedure (ad es., le “tavole di verità”, in cui si tentano tutte le assegnazioni) impiegherebbero tempi geologici per decidere se K sia soddisfacibile e per trovare un’assegnazione.
