Con una prevalenza del 40% nei maschi infertili, il varicocele rappresenta la principale causa correggibile di infertilità. Nel bambino, la prevalenza del varicocele va da meno dell’ 1% al di sotto di 10 anni fino al 15%, la stessa degli adulti, dopo la pubertà.
