Riassunto

La risonanza magnetica cardiaca (RMC) trova un crescente significativo ruolo nella clinica cardiologica grazie alle molteplici possibilità diagnostiche evidenziate nel corso degli anni. Per molte condizioni cliniche tale metodica non solo ha evidenziato le principali caratteristiche semeiologiche delle cardiopatie sottostanti, ma addirittura ne ha documentato la fisiopatologia ed, in diverse occasioni, è stata impiegata per svelare aspetti sconosciuti dei meccanismi di malattia. Infine, dato di grande rilevanza, oggi disponiamo di molteplici dati prognostici basati su elementi raccolti mediante la RMC nei principali quadri patologici.
