Riassunto
Il coinvolgimento della famiglia nel trattamento di disturbi psichiatrici gravi, sperimentato su altri familiari, si è dimostrato utile sia per il paziente che per la famiglia stessa. I dati che emergono supportano anche tipi diversi di coinvolgimento della famiglia nel trattamento del disturbo di personalità borderline (DPB), nonostante gli studi siano, ad oggi, decisamente limitati nel numero. Lo scopo di questo capitolo è di descrivere le diverse modalità di coinvolgimento dei membri di una famiglia nel trattamento e rivedere l’evidenza che supporta questo tipo di approccio.
