La diffusione delle procedure interventistiche ecoguidate ha modificato in maniera significativa la strategia diagnostica della patologia pancreatica [1–8]. L’ecografia è particolarmente indicata per guidare le procedure interventistiche anche a livello pancreatico: importanti caratteristiche di questa metodica contribuiscono al raggiungimento di tale risultato.
