Minimum Bias and Underlying Event at LHC

  • Conference paper
IFAE 2007

Abstract

The soft hadron interaction plays a relevant role in particle physics both at the present and at the future colliders. In this paper we will review the predictions for minimum bias and underlying event at the Large Hadron Collider. We will show that the LHC general purpose detectors, ATLAS and CMS, will be able to measure the relevant parameters to tune the most common parameterizations and to provide reliable estimates for the physics measurements.
