Abstract
Tracheotomy in children is a relatively uncommon and high-skill procedure, which is generally performed if ventilator support is required for months to years [1, 2]. Although the procedure is difficult and challenging to perform, it is truly rewarding to access a safe and protected airway. However, the issue remains complex from the psychosocial point of view, for both the growing child and the caregivers and family members [3].
