Per nodulo polmonare solitario (SPN) si intende una lesione polmonare a morfologia rotondeggiante o ovalare con diametro massimo di 3 cm, circondata per almeno due terzi da parenchima polmonare, non associata ad altre lesioni parenchimali, atelettasia o adenopatie.
