Resumen

Los sistemas sanitarios son el resultado de la suma y coordinación de instituciones y organizaciones públicas y privadas con el mandato de mejorar la salud de individuos y poblaciones en el marco político e institucional de cada país1; es decir, los sistemas sanitarios tienen por objetivo “producir salud” a partir de los servicios prestados por determinadas instituciones y organizaciones.
