Abstract
Soybean is not only an important oilseed crop and feed for livestock and aquaculture, but also a good source of protein for the human diet. Of late, it has also emerged out to be a major biofuel feedstock. It accounts for about 56% of total oilseeds production, 25% of global edible oil, and about two-third of the world protein concentrate for livestock feed.
