Abstract

Synthesis of standard 12-lead electrocardiogram from reduced lead set without losing significant diagnostic information is a major challenge. In this work, we propose a patient specific method for synthesizing 12-lead electrocardiogram from reduced lead set by applying linear regression over the DCT domain. The proposed method is evaluated by standard distortion measures such as correlation coefficient, root mean square error, and wavelet energy-based diagnostic distortion. The results shows improvement from the existing systems without loss of significant diagnostic information.
